Truong Sa (Spratly) Park at Oceanographic Museum attracts visitors

Being an attractive destination for domestic and foreign visitors, disseminating information to raise public awareness on protecting marine environmental resources and the nation’s territorial sovereignty is the focus of the Oceanographic Museum. Of which, dissemination on Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands’ sovereignty is included in exhibiting and interpreting activities at the museum.

Genk STF, GHV KSOL and GHV BONE – Products transferred from research results and received title “High-quality product and branch 2017”

On December 9th, 2017, a programme honouring “High Quality Trademark 2017” took place in Hanoi.

The event was held by Vietnam Standards and Quality Institute in coordination with the Vietnam Institute for Businessmen, the International Management Institute and the Creative and Intellectual Property Magazine. It was highly appreciated  by consumers and the community of enterprises nationwide.

Preparation for technical transfer and pilot operation of Observatory in Hanoi

In June 2018, the technology and pilot operation of the Astronomical Observatory and Projection Screening House under the Vietnam Space Centre (the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), located in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, will be transferred and carried out. This is one of two observatories built in the framework of the Vietnam Space Centre project.

Scientific research on the conservation and effective use of two species of Berberis wallichiana DC and Mahonia bealei (Fortune) Pynaert which belong to the Berberidaceae Juss family in Vietnam

The Berberidaceae family in Vietnam has four branches and nine species, distributed mainly in highlands areas in the northern mountainous provinces and Lam Dong province. According to a number of published documents, 9 species in this family are used as medicine, treating diseases relating to digestion, eye pain, high blood pressure, lumbar pain, toothache and liver diseases.

Announcement of application marking new step in 3D animation technique using mathematical foundation in the No.1 Computer Graphics Journal

The work entitled "A stiffly accurate integrator for elastodynamic problems" by Prof. Vu Thai Luan, Institute of Information and Technology, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, member of the American Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), and a consultant Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics, the Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas, USA, and colleagues, was published in the number-one computer graphics journal ACM Transactions on Graphics (TOG) in July, 2017. Furthermore, it was among few works chosen to be featured at the world's largest conference on computer graphics and interactive technologies SIGGRAPH 2017.
